Babies, Families and Seniors….OH my!
Posted in Uncategorized on April 20, 2009 by freedomphotographyWell, sorry once again we have taken so long to bring you an update on Freedom Photography. I guess we are not as good at this blog thing as we hoped to be. But I promise we will get better. The good thing is that we have neglected our blog because we are busy! Yea! I am going to cram 3 different things we have done in the past week or so instead of doing a different blog post for each because that would take me all day! The first is a senior session we did for a wonderful girl named Charity. She was a blast to work with and brought some fun bright colored outfits to wear. She definitely was not your typical senior picture shoot! She was full of energy and was willing to do all sorts of crazy stuff we asked her to do such as lay in the grass, jump up and down in our studio, hang out in an industrial area full of rusty buildings and rotting wood…we love that stuff! Not to mention she sat in a chair in the middle of the street braving some on-coming traffic! She also brought her sister along and they decided to get a fun shot of them chomping on some big wads of Bubblicious gum and then trying to synchronize blowing some big bubbles. That was a new one for us…
On Easter we were commissioned by the Hackett family to take some pictures of a rare moment. 7 siblings ended up in town on the same day visiting there Mom and Dad who have been married for 56 years! WOW, I know! It just so happened that it had been raining that whole day up until the time we were supposed to take there pictures and then it stopped and cleared up for the whole shoot! So we got some great shots of them at drury campus by the stone chapel where Mom and Dad got hitched 56 years ago. It was awesome. They were a very spunky group and had a lot of laughs during the shoot. One of my favorite moments was when Heidi told them to give a fake laugh for a good candid shot and one of the Brothers said…”We have been doing that all weekend!” Needless to say we got some nice genuine Guffaw’s out of that one.
Finally this was month 8 for little Quentin who we have been taking pictures of for his whole little life! He is sitting up now and starting to try and hold on to stuff and stand. It also looks like he might be on the verge of crawling. We are blessed to have the privilege of snapping shots of this cute little guy. He has huge blue eyes and a great little smile. We did some shots in our studio and then took him a little ways down the street and got some shots on the sidewalk and such. All in all we have had a great couple of weeks and look forward to updating this blog with some wedding pictures from this upcoming weekend! Bless you all!
